The Sejm has registered the Citizens’ Initiative Committee “Yes to Family, No to Gender”. The initiative is aimed at terminating the Istanbul Convention by the Polish government. The Committee has submitted the first 3,500 signatures under the project.

The European Court of Human Rights allowed a Nigerian woman living in Spain to keep in touch with her son. The woman had fought for the right to visit her child regularly and for the suspension of his adoption for a few years.

A coalition of experts and leaders of pro-family organisations from several European countries supported the petition initiated by the Ordo Iuris Institute against the accession of the European Union to the Istanbul Convention.

Two representatives of the European Commission sent a letter to the Marshals of the Lublin, Łódź, Małopolskie, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie Provinces, in which they claim that the authorities of these regions discriminate against specific social groups by adopting pro-family resolutions

The new European Commission declared ratification of the ideological Istanbul Convention one of its top priorities. The document undermines the identity and autonomy of the family, limits parental rights and requires that the authorities eradicate "traditions and customs" regarding the roles of men and women while promoting "non-stereotyped" gender roles. Once the document is ratified, the UE will extend its powers without any basis in the treaties, being able to interfere with the field of family life.
