Jerzy Kwaśniewski is a civil litigation and criminal defense attorney, human rights specialist, committed to the protection of pro-family and pro-life initiatives and fundamental constitutional values such as freedom of expression, freedom of conscience and human dignity.
As partner in Parchimowicz & Kwaśniewski law firm, Mr Kwaśniewski counsels conservative human rights NGOs, international transport associations, national chambers of commerce and industry, cooperative movements, collective rights management associations, as an expert on freedom of association, NGO management and third sector participation in democratic legislative procedures. Until 2017 served as a President of the Polish Council of Wine - Employers’ Association.
Jerzy Kwaśniewski was a cofounder and serves as a President of the Ordo Iuris Institute, a legal think-tank promoting natural rights and constitutional order by academic and expert activity, provision of pro bono litigation assistance and education of young lawyers. With many precedent cases, Ordo Iuris litigation department contributed to the shift the Polish court jurisprudence concerning medical professional conscientious clause, protection of family integrity and protection of the freedom of speech and right to assembly of anti-abortion protests across the country. Ordo Iuris lawyers provide legal aid protecting family integrity and respect for family life against violations by social services. Ordo Iuris has been granted special consultative status with the ECOSOC UN; it is also registered in EU Transparency Register and is actively involved in EU policymaking and lobbing.
Jerzy Kwaśniewski was appointed as member of the consultative boards both by liberal and conservative Ministers of Justice. Serves as member of the Respect for Family Life and Family Autonomy Council.
NGOs’ representatives elected Mr Kwaśniewski as Secretary of the governmental Monitoring Council for Combating Domestic Violence.
In 2016 served as Vice-President of the Stop Abortion Citizens’ Legislative Initiative.
He and his wife have four children.
