- The European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) has adopted an opinion on draft legislation to facilitate the recognition of parenthood in the European Union.
- The draft introduces an obligation for EU countries to mutually recognise judgments establishing parenthood.
- Adoption of the regulation would mean that Poland could be required to accept adoptions made in other countries by same-sex couples.

· Two Norwegians have been detained and questioned by police in Warsaw, in connection with a European Arrest Warrant issued by Norwegian authorities.
· The reason for the Norwegian children's agency Barnevernet's interest in the family was allegations of the mother's alleged addiction, which would endanger the daughter for whom she has custody.

The European Court of Human Rights has once again ruled that Norway has violated parents' rights. The cases concern two families broken up by the child protection office - Barnevernet, on the basis of false accusations of mental problems of the parents.
