- A plenary session of the General Assembly of the Council of Europe took place in Strasbourg in recent days.
- During one of the sessions, the General Assembly debated the state of the public health emergency and the need for a holistic approach to health care.
- The Assembly stressed that new threats to public health, perhaps worse than Covid-19, are to be expected. These are to be related to climate change, among other things.

- In early 2023. The Grand Chamber of the Strasbourg Court found a violation of the right to respect for private and family life of a group of same-sex couples due to the inability to formalize their relationship.
- The Ordo Iuris Institute has prepared an analysis in which it points out that although the Grand Chamber's judgment is formally addressed to the Russian Federation, in practice it may affect Poland and other European countries.

Poland submitted a comprehensive report on the implementation of the Istanbul Convention to the Monitoring Committee (GREVIO). It describes in detail all the legal measures and programs in place in Poland aimed at combating domestic violence.
The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe requested Polish authorities to create procedures for easier killing of children through abortion. The institution also requires the collection of information about hospitals where doctors invoke the conscience clause. The Committee demands easier methods for objecting to decisions by physicians who refuse to perform abortion.

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has received 16 complaints against the Norwegian government from parents. They raise the violation of the parents' right to respect for family life. All of them pertain to the actions of the same institution – Norway's child protection agency, Barnevernet.
