• United Nations Special Rapporteur Reem Alsalem, in a recent report, called on countries and sporting organization authorities not to allow “men who identify as women” to compete in female sporting competitions.

- A UN independent expert is preparing a report on the relationship between protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and the human rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly.

- The report is to be presented at the 56th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

· The Council of the European Union has decided on the signing and provisional application of the Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States. The EU is expected to sign the Agreement itself in the coming months.
