● Three same-sex couples sued Russia before the European Court of Human Rights, demanding almost EUR 80,000 in compensation for ‘harm and expenses’ incurred as a result of their inability to marry.

● The ECtHR ruled that Russia had violated their right to respect for private and family life, but refused to award the amount requested.

Ordo Iuris defends rev. prof. Dariusz Oko convicted in Germany for publishing a scientific article

● Rev. prof. Dariusz Oko was sentenced with an injunction to a fine of EUR 4,800 for ‘inciting hatred’ as part of an article published in Thelogisches, a scientific journal.

● Also convicted is the editor-in-chief of Thelogisches.

● The article discussed the phenomenon of an intra-ecclesial organised crime group linked by homosexual practices, acting to the detriment of minors and using clerics dependent on it.

Wilamowice keep PLN 7 million of Norway Grants after adopting Local Government Charter of the Rights of the Family

Wilamowice will not lose the Norway Grants subsidy. The decision was made after the city passed a resolution to adopt the Local Government Charter of the Rights of the Family, which waived another resolution expressing objection to ‘the undermining of the model of the family by representatives of LGBT communities’.

European Commission’s unlawful attempt at interfering in family law. Petition of Ordo Iuris

The European Union announced works on a document demanding from Member States to acknowledge foreign adoptions of children by single-sex partnerships. According to EC plans, such provisions could be implemented as a regulation, which would be binding on all EU members. This would be contrary to the national law of several states, including Poland. The Ordo Iuris Institute has drawn up a petition to the EC authorities calling for them to abandon these plans.
